The Rental Equipment Technician is responsible for the loading and unloading of equipment in the yard, as well as the check in and check out of rental equipment. You will communicate and record any equipment damage when equipment is returned. When not working with customers, you will be responsible for the yard and facility. You will also be required to perform minor repairs and normal maintenance on the rental equipment fleet. Any repairs requiring more skill or extended time will be performed in the service department. This is an entry-level technical position with the opportunity to advance to a full time Service Technician by completing necessary training and hands-on experience. Pay: $17.81 per hour

Heavy equipment operation experience required

Confidently operate computers and telephone
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs for short periods of time
Physically bend, stretch, climb, reach, kneel and squat
Withstand working in the elements, consisting of various weather conditions including ice, rain, and wind.
Balance and use caution when working in icy and snowy conditions, and when mounting and dismounting equipment.
Exert pressure necessary to fasten, unfasten, load, and unload heavy construction equipment
Valid Drivers License and clean driving record is required
Ability to independently lift between 50-75 pounds
Responsibilities
Operate equipment, loading and unloading for customers & organizing yard display.
Follow proper procedures to check in and check out rental equipment.
Clearly communicate in writing and verbally, with customers and co-workers.
Provide outstanding customer service and always be willing to go above and beyond.
Communicate safety concerns and needs to management.
Use judgment when repairing equipment so that repairs that require more skill are referred to the service department.
Foresee and complete upkeep of the yard and facility, such as salting icy areas, etc.
