The Impact You'll Be Contributing to Moloco:
- Moloco Ads: Data Science team’s mission is to drive building the best-in-class Moloco Ads products with data. As a Data Scientist intern in the Moloco Ads team, you will work on performance improvement of existing Moloco Ads products as well as building a new product by providing data-driven insights and scientific solutions.
- Moloco Commerce Media: Moloco Commerce Media enables marketplaces to leverage the recent advances in AI for delivering tailored ads to relevant users, driven by first-party data. The Data Science team supports growth by supporting the launch of new features through modeling, algorithmic and analytic excellence. As a data scientist within Moloco Commerce Media, you will be tasked with designing the entire “data-driven” ad-delivery ecosystem including ranking, retrieval, pricing, and bidding processes. Also, you will have the opportunity to solve several important challenges related to ML algorithms, mathematical optimizations, and A/B testings, etc.
Here’s what you’ll be working on:
- Data mining: providing refined data as input to machine learning algorithms by closely working with data pipeline and machine learning infrastructure engineering teams.
- Data analysis: analyzing and visualizing data from lots of mobile apps to provide insights to existing and future campaigns using standard tools including SQL and charting libraries.
- Data validation: verifying the first party data we obtain from ad exchange and the third party mobile app tracking solutions so that our campaign models get trained with accurate data.
- Strategy Optimization: researching the advanced optimization approach through a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end ranking, retrieval, and bidding systems.
- System Design: designing and implementing the internal Ad serving simulation tool for hypothesis testing and impact estimation using python.
Minimum Requirements:
- able to complete an internship of at least 3-6 months
- Bachelor's degree in data science related field required, Master's degree preferred and PhD welcomed.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
- Great communication skills required
- Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Economics and Computer Science majors preferred.
- Experience in SQL or other data analytics language preferred.
- Knowledge in statistical machine learning models preferred.
- Programming experience with any language preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time while paying attention to detail.
- Fast learner and self-initiative personality.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of business and industry in general, more preferably experienced to ad tech companies
