We are looking for a senior backend engineer to join our team and, ensure that all our game-backends enable the best experience possible to our players. You will be an integral part in a team of well-aligned experts who are truly passionate about creating high-quality services that can handle the extreme amounts of traffic our players generate. We work mainly with async, cloud-based microservices built using Java and Kubernetes. We work in cross-collaboration setup with teams both in Stockholm and in Redmond, USA.
We are looking for the best engineers, with or without previous gaming industry experience. We expect you to bring & be passionate about:
- A solid understanding and experience of building distributed services in Java
- A passion for new technologies and complex problems
- Experience of public cloud management
- Experience of SQL and NoSQL databases
- A passion for growing our collaborative and inclusive engineering culture.
- Helping us stay at the cutting edge of backend development
- Taking part in technical discussions and the decisions on how we design our systems
- Delivering and maintaining a reliable production environment
- Act and participate in ways of working with the goal of what is best for our players and our studio as one company
We also appreciate experience of:
- Linux/Unix, Azure, Kubernetes, Redis, Postgres and Kafka
- Async service development, preferably with Project Reactor or RxJava2/3
- High-volume application development
