The Analytics Platform team ensures that the teams at MOIA working with data have access to the right resources from our data lake to enable their respective use cases. 

The team manages access to the data and tools for working with data to ensure that data at MOIA is processed efficiently, securely, and privacy-compliantly. Examples would be Tableau for reporting and dashboarding, our internal data catalogue and permissions in our data lake. You will work at the core of MOIAs data engine room and interact with colleagues from 25+ teams. They rely on a wide variety of AWS services to build the tools and services among others AWS Glue, Athena, Lakeformation, Lambda and Fargate. Their goal is to enable the users to work as independently and self-sufficiently as possible while adhering to all relevant legal requirements. 

What you will do

  • Develop, implement, and maintain data privacy frameworks and infrastructure that ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as GDPR.
  • Design and enforce strategies for access management to sensitive data to foster efficient compliance aspects like data deletion and user consent management.
  • Work on or with the data platform to enable compliant, secure, and quick access to data, ensuring that all data handling processes are in line with data protection laws.
  • Conceptualize and implement data access management tools at scale, with a focus on secure interactions with external users.
  • Contribute to the scaling of data lake solutions, ensuring privacy and compliance considerations are built into the infrastructure.
  • Write clear and comprehensive documentation of APIs, data handling processes, and privacy-related services provided.
  • Work closely with our legal team to ensure that data practices are aligned with the latest regulatory requirements and industry standards. 

What will help you to fulfill your role 

  • Expertise in managing data access and permissions using solutions like AWS Lake Formation or other cloud-native tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of GDPR and other relevant legal topics, with practical experience in implementing compliant data handling processes.
  • Experience in conceptualizing and managing data access at scale, ensuring privacy is maintained at every level.
  • Experience of working on scaling data lake solutions with built-in compliance and privacy considerations.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex privacy concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including for example legal teams.
  • Having an agile mindset and interest to act and grow as part of a team. For example, collaborating via pair programming, sharing knowledge, communicating effectively and mentoring others should be something you value in your day-to-day work.
  • Experience with SQL in analytical and transactional database technologies.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and deployment using tools and methods like CI/CD, Containers, Monitoring and Alerting.
