About the role:
The right candidate loves troubleshooting and has a knack for identifying problems before they happen. You know how to create a process for identifying and addressing software issues, and you’re enthusiastic about owning that process and educating others about it. You will establish and define testing principles across the company, providing leadership and consulting across not only our engineering org but also our customer-facing teams.
We’re looking for someone who can:
Act as an advocate for quality in the product development process for software engineering
Define, implement, and iterate on a QA process that meets industry standards and fits into the overall Mixpanel ecosystem
Ensure that tests and procedures are properly understood and carried out, and that issues identified through QA work are elevated to senior leadership for prioritization.
Develop and execute test cases, plans and procedures
Troubleshoot issues down to the root cause, and provide detailed bug reports
Partner with the support team to identify and validate real world test cases
Work with engineering leads to design and implement best practices
Partner with the design team to ensure consistent application of visual, interaction, and dialogue patterns
In-depth knowledge of best practices for software testing
Ability to effectively explain testing concepts to technical and non-technical team members
Demonstrated experience implementing initiatives from the ground up
