About the Role
Located in the Historic District of Congress avenue, blocks from the Texas State Capitol. Only minutes away from Austin’s Town Lake surrounded by beautiful biking and hiking trails and around the corner from world famous 6th street, lined with music venues.
You will be part of the founding members of the engineering team at our new Austin location. This will be an exciting opportunity to work in a startup like environment with the backing of a financially stable larger organization.
The product engineering team creates the face of Mixpanel. We organize in small, nimble product groups (two to five engineers in close partnership with PM and design) with huge autonomy over what we build and how we build it. You will own the full stack for your product areas, from database schemas and HTTP APIs to data visualization down to the last CSS detail. A passion for product and empathy for the user are key. Our stack includes Python, and lots of JavaScript.
Responsibilities
Build customer-facing web application products, collaborating closely product management and design. The full stack role will require working in JavaScript, Python, and interacting with our deployment on Google Cloud Platform (Kubernetes).
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications
- 4 years Working Experience with JavaScript and knowledge of the current JavaScript landscape
- Someone who is excited to build intuitive UIs that help make customers’ more productive.
- 3 years Working Experience leading projects (breaking down complex tasks, mentorship, etc.)
- Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Python a plus
- Strong opinions about shipping bug-free software, but knowledge of when to compromise & move fast
- Experience building and maintaining large-scale web products
