Senior Web Developer

We're looking for a senior technical and development resource to join our Mishimoto team of E-commerce experts to architect and build ecommerce storefronts, features, and processes.

With you on the team we will architect an existing brand's new storefront, build it, launch it, and use what we've built to improve existing store fronts of our other brands.
The backend is Magento 2, the frontend is a mix of Magento 2 custom themes, vue components, htmx components, and 3rd party services.
Working with the existing senior full stack developer, E-commerce director, and E-commerce content team, you will position the existing and upcoming projects for success followed by team growth in an agile environment.  This role will report to the Director of Ecommerce.  This is a remote position.

What You’ll Do:

  • Working closely with the E-commerce team you will be taking ownership of our brand's E-Commerce product, in a technical sense.
  • Our E-Commerce product is a recognizable automotive company well known for performance auto parts, providing a B2B and B2C experience across many channels.
  • We are currently in a period of growth and will be launching new experiences and brand storefronts this year.
  • With you on the team we will be managing and improving six existing storefronts, all backed by Adobe Commerce Cloud (Magento 2), as well as standing up two more storefronts with modern technologies.
  • We are intending to use a headless approach for the new storefronts, mainly leveraging Vue and GraphQL, but may also consider a modern alternative such as Hyva.
  • Your experience and expertise in all related fields will guide and directly contribute to the projects and products we so proudly own.
  • Once we have proven our excellence through results, we will be growing the team, at which point you will likely guide and/or manage technical team members.

Your Creds:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 2 years’ experience using and developing around Magento 2
  • 2 years’ experience using and developing Vue js, pref. v3 with composition API
  • Strong organizational skills, especially in time management
  • A strong desire to collaborate on solutions, not just take orders and tickets
  • Experience developing solutions using Magento REST and GraphQL APIs
  • Experience building custom endpoints for these APIs
  • Experience with composable architecture and 'headless' development
  • Strong experience with HTML, CSS, LESS/SCSS/SASS, and common build chains like webpack/vite

Extra Credit:

  • Strong frontend skillset including SEO and ADA best practices
  • Desire to 'own' the product
  • Experience managing a technical team
  • Experience managing production deployments, and CI/CD processes
  • Experience QA/UA testing
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
  • Experience with n8n.io or another API mesh type integration tool
  • Experience with Knockout JS
  • Experience with RequireJS
