Sales Development Specialist

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving growth initiatives that align with the company's strategic plan. The Sales Development Specialist will play a key role in expanding our market presence and achieving revenue targets.  The Sales Development Specialist is a remote position and reports to the VP of Sales.

 

Scope of Responsibility:

 

He/she will have responsibility for his/her own work.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify new prospects for the business.
  • Sell and close new business accounts.
  • Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and prospecting.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and expand market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet client needs and objectives.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and threats.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market trends to senior management.
  • Represent the company at industry events, and trade shows to promote our products and services.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve processes, streamline operations, and enhance overall business efficiency.
  • Understand company products and services meticulously.
  • Expected travel of 30% to visit new and current customers, dealer/jobber shops, and attend events.

 

Your Creds

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field is required.
  • 4–5 years of new business development experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge base of the auto industry, including parts and mechanical systems
  • Strong organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Genuine compassion for customer satisfaction.
  • Must demonstrate professional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to produce quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to exhibit objectivity and openness to others’ views.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback to others.

 

 

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

Normal office environment.  Ability to travel to, attend, and conduct customer meetings and presentations.  Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs.  Overtime as required.
