About the role:

The Finance Senior Manager will support the Marketing and Brand teams to drive profitable acquisition growth and strong customer retention to help the company achieve its growth targets.  The candidate will be responsible for leveraging data analytics and business acumen to bring forward insights and recommendations to business leadership that make a measurable impact on the company’s growth objectives. This individual will be responsible for working with key functions to help uncover customer growth opportunities through the development and execution of analytical tools. The candidate will also have a strong role in managing and developing the 3 year strategic plan, annual operating plan and quarterly forecast.  This role will require strong data manipulation, visualization, and financial modeling skills. The Senior Manager will be an extremely valuable member of the Finance team with the opportunity to make a tremendous impact on the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex data to evaluate customer retention, acquisition growth, spend efficiency and customer lifetime value to present strategic impacts to the leadership team.
  • Develop and maintain monthly budgets for marketing campaigns, with a track record of achieving targets and optimizing spend to drive ROI.
  • Elevate and scale processes and models for volume forecasting in order to expediently provide financial guidance, support strategic investments, and drive financial decisions. 
  • Partner with the VP of Finance to complete the 3 year strategic plan, Annual Operating Plan and Quarterly Forecasts for the consolidated business through developing and maintaining complex financial models that support decision making
  • Create and present data-driven analyses surrounding new initiatives, M&A, and other strategic initiatives inside and outside of finance, as needed
  • Partner with the leadership team to help translate business strategies and objectives into financial goals and outcomes
  • Roll up your sleeves and get work done, with painstaking attention to important details, delivered at lightning speed… even when at times it’s outside the scope of the job

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical ability: able to synthesize and design analyses to deliver insights and answer specific business questions for all business partners
  • Ability to interpret complex data and synthesize into actionable insights
  • Ability to create models that can be easily leveraged by business partners to enhance business decisions
  • Strong foundation of core Financial concepts with experience in working with multiple business units
  • Exceptional data analysis and financial modeling capabilities with a strong understanding of core Marketing/Customer concepts
  • Strong communication skills to articulate solutions to complex business problems, lead cross-functional discussions, and ability to drive alignment with key stakeholders across various functions
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities for different teams; ability to be clear on priorities and to shift between tasks on short notice
  • Action oriented with excellent analytical problem-solving skills
    • Motivated, independent thinker and thought leader a MUST
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; high level of professional maturity and ability to articulate views in a clear and concise manner
  • Instill operating discipline and financial rigor with non-Finance partners.
  • SQL experience preferred

Minimum Experience: 

  • 6+ years of experience in a strategic business, marketing, revenue management or similar role
  • Experience working in an online retail environment
  • Experience working with Customer Retention, LTV and profitable acquisition costs and understanding of customer lifecycles
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance

Details of Position & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $140k - $155k
