This role will be responsible for establishing an in-market presence for the Canadian trading team in a Client Direct Trading Role. As such, you will have the opportunity to be involved in shaping MiQ Canada’s Client Direct offering, when it comes to trading strategy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITITES
Your main responsibilities will include:

Client Direct Trading Management

  • Assist in the strategic planning and targeting recommendations for Client Direct campaigns
  • Educating the client on new programmatic technology and the benefits of programmatic (via Programmatic 101s, office hours with the client where needed)
  • Discuss and develop campaign strategy with the internal planning teams to help grow MiQ’s Client Direct Business
  • Be a consultant to clients directly on areas you would move forward with in programmatic, in order to aid their business and marketing strategies

Coaching & Training the Trader Team

  • Leverage your experience to enhance the individual experience of each Trader
  • Leverage the wider business to enhance the individual experience of each Trader
  • Regularly cadenced meetings with each managed Trader to run through their campaigns with the view of firstly enhancing performance and secondly monitor delivery and margins
  • Provide direction and advice on each managed Trader's campaigns
  • Inject more commercial awareness into the Trader's mind-sets
  • Champion, monitor and enhance Trader/ Analyst relationship

Margin & Retention Management

  • Monitor and manage margin and delivery across your campaigns, and the campaigns in Client Direct
  • Troubleshoot and provide support on any campaign, where technical issues may arise
  • Manage workload and campaign distribution of each trader
  • Liaise with Client Direct digital leads where necessary on campaign issues

Process Invention, Deployment and Monitoring

  • Working with team members and management to create processes which will aid the business
  • Working with the Trading Director on the forged Testing Framework, to ensure that the wider trading team is adopting ways to be more efficient via testing
  • Ensure new and existing processes are deployed in the most efficient fashion
  • Ensure new and existing processes are adhered to by all relevant stakeholders

Communication with MiQ Management

  • Report back weekly and when necessary to management on:
  • Delivery numbers
  • Servicing risks
  • MiQ reputational risks
  • Right to play risks
  • When campaign budgets are shifting more to other 3rd parties
  • Employee flight risks
  • Any other threats

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years of experience trading digital programmatic campaigns
  • Minimum 2 years of experience trading inside one of the following platforms (Xandr, TheTradeDesk, DV360)
  • Commercial experience – clear evidence of servicing advertisers to a high standard. In addition to working closely with internal commercial departments to either holistically grow revenue and / or develop advertiser partnerships through delivery of performance, insight and relationship
  • Experience working in client-facing environment would be an advantage

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills are essential
  • A start-up mind-set
  • Strong presentation skills, comfortable & passionate about working directly with clients
  • Technically and analytically astute within the field of digital programmatic trading
  • The ability to work with large datasets in Excel files and BI internal tools
  • A working knowledge of statistical models
  • Strong troubleshooting ability, clear systematic approach to problem solving
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to work both independently and contribute within a team environment

  • Working knowledge of SQL, R, Python or Bonsai would be beneficial
