We are looking for a Group Trader Manager to join our world class trading team, managing a team of 6 and being responsible for the UK’s largest commercial relationship. As the department, and business, are growing rapidly there is scope for you to really make this role your own.



Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Campaign Execution
    • Delivering excellent campaign performance and client success across a diverse portfolio of accounts
    • End to end campaign ownership and performance monitoring
    • Using data to enhance buying strategies, resulting in overachievement vs. client- stated KPIs and internal profit objectives
    • Using insights to build client rapport to up-sell and earn incremental opportunity
  • Portfolio Management
    • Monitoring and managing margin and delivery across campaigns
    • Ensuring client retention rate is always kept above 95%
    • Troubleshooting and supporting on any client or technical issues which arise, providing expertise on new or intricate campaigns
    • Managing the workload and campaign distribution of each trader
    • Liaising with the Sales and Account management teams, as well as relevant agencies, where necessary on campaign issues
  • Leading & Supervising
    • Leveraging your experience and the wider business to enhance the experience of each Trader
    • Providing direction and advice on each Trader’s campaigns with the view of enhancing performance and monitoring delivery and margins
    • Monitoring insights workload requests and quality of insights being provided
    • Bringing more commercial awareness into the Trading team
    • Championing, monitoring and enhancing the Trader / Analyst relationships
    • Working closely with MiQ Management to ensure clear and timely communication on campaign, industry, and team opportunities and risks
    • Recruiting and training world class trading talent, and providing continuous development for your team
  • Commercial Strategy
    • Driving the commercial strategy to grow client partnerships
    • Ensuring that MiQ’s reputation for best-in-class service is maintained
    • Leveraging your experience to raise the standards of service within the Trading team
    • Identifying opportunities with existing Media clients and using client relationships to drive growth, new business opportunities and profit
    • Working with our Sales and Account Management teams to maximise commercial opportunities
  • Innovation
    • Testing new products and features from our external partners and internal Product team
    • Ensuring new and existing processes are deployed in the most efficient fashion and adhered to by all relevant stakeholders
    • Encouraging team-wide adoption of new targeting tactics, optimisation methods and ways of working.
    • Being the voice of reason within your pod, as well as awareness outside your pod, and ensuring new initiatives are adopted across the wider MiQ Trading team.



  • Proven programmatic trading experience
  • Thorough understanding of the programmatic landscape and industry ecosystem
  • High degree of experience in at least one of Appnexus, DBM, or The Trade Desk
  • Previous management experience, managing at least 3 people
  • Desire to support and develop your team, providing opportunities for them to learn and grow
  • High level of organisation and conscientiousness
  • Desire to learn from other markets and the wider MiQ team
