MINT MOBILE is seeking a talented Brand Manager, Lifecycle to join the Marketing Team! Individual reports to Senior Manager, Lifecycle Mint. Role is remote; must reside in the United States.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Brand Manager, Lifecycle drives key business objectives, managing the customer experience across email, SMS, push notifications, in-app messages and more. Serving as a steward of the brand, the Brand Manager will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Creative, Care, Product, eComm, Retention, and company leadership) to build lifecycle and support retention experiences that deliver value to the customer experience. They will work in collaboration with the Marketing Retention team, and our in-house creative agency, supporting key stakeholders to deliver and create on-brand communications sure to delight our customers. Additionally, this role will support our entire lifecycle team with tactical communications and marketing initiatives to grow our brand.

Your usual day of awesomeness includes:  

Current Customer Communications

  • Understands and applies cross channel expertise including App, Account Management, email, SMS, push notifications, in-app messages, customer support, and more to communicate most effectively with current subscribers. 
  • Serves a loyalty base with care, happiness, and respect. Brings customer mindset to all customer communication strategies. 
  • Builds strong relationships within a matrix structure to ensure achievement of business objectives as well as marketing message consistency and adherence to brand guardrails.
  • Collaborates closely with the Retention Marketing team, and is responsible for planning assets, negotiating and creating timelines, submitting creative requests, and shepherding the delivery of the assets including some QA.

Planning and Execution 

  • Writes and develops creative briefs, collects and synthesizes feedback and works with our in-house creative agency to oversee the successful delivery of all lifecycle and retention assets. 
  • Partners with the Retention Marketing team to create communication strategies that help to achieve their goals. Able to work in a fast paced Agile light process in order to assess business goals and objectives, managing the team's workload, ensuring all deadlines are communicated and deliverables are met for each sprint. 
  • Able to prioritize team workloads based on leadership expectations, effectively communicating the ‘why’ to direct reports. 
  • Collaborates across cross-functional stakeholders (Creative, Care, Product, eComm, Retention, company leadership) to build lifecycle experiences that support users across the customer journey. 
  • Collaborates with business partners to develop joint short and long-term marketing strategies and plans; oversees implementation and monitors results. 
  • Respect for process development and adherence as part of a successful cross-functional leader, but knows when to break process to put the business first. 

Brand Management 

  • Leads day-to-day management of brand activities including marketing plan development, promotional support, execution, and program tracking, unearthing new opportunities for growth and performance tracking. 
  • Exhibits a strong sense of brand to reinforce company values and customer expectations across the lifecycle. 
  • Promotes a successful attitude and confidence in leadership and teamwork to achieve business results. May serve as a proxy for Sr. Manager or Director of Brand in key meetings. 
  • Knows the brand book inside and out and can review creative assets, experiences, and opportunities through the lens of our archetype and customer promises. 
  • Plans and manages part of the Lifecycle team, department processes, and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives. 

Measurement & Optimization 

  • Shares actionable insights based on a deep knowledge of email, SMS, push notifications and in-App messaging.
  • Experience with Braze customer engagement platform is preferred. 
  • Has experience in email marketing and can derive insights quickly, effectively communicating findings to the team with rationale. 
  • Accountable for understanding Mint’s performance across all channels of the customer’s Lifecycle, subscriber flow, and opportunistic ways to bolster usage with data-driven decision-making and insights into real-time optimizations. 
  • Clearly analyze and articulate areas of opportunity in the Lifecycle, with an emphasis on campaign measurement and testing.
  • Tracks, analyzes, and communicates product and program performance. Proactively recommends action plans to address variances in brand performance against annual plans.
  • Keeps a pulse on industry and brand trends that could be springboard moments for Mint.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university. 
  • At least 4-6 years of progressive experience in brand management and lifecycle communications. 
  • At least 2 years of email marketing experience. Braze Customer Engagement Platform experience is preferred 
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of lifecycle marketing and development of multi channel marketing, with emphasis on email.. 
  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities. 
  • Ability to understand complex product, service, and operational issues from a business, technical, and marketing aspect. 
  • Strong analytical and technical skills; comfortable making recommendations to Leadership. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities. Brings new perspectives and ideas to work through barriers. 
  • Experience building and mentoring a team. 
  • Strong organization and planning skills. 
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
