The Role

 

This is an exciting, Shanghai based role focused on supporting the sales team in expanding our client base in China.  This role reports directly to the Country Manager China. This individual will join a very successful team that serves as an integral part of Mintel's business and growth plans.  The role requires a hungry, motivated and organized person that is eager to learn and have opportunities for career and knowledge growth within the business and wider industry. 

 

What You Will Be Doing:

 

  • Identify the potentials of incoming/outbound leads, arrange meetings with those who are highly qualified/interested for BD Teams
  • Proactively engage with on-hand prospects, identify key influencers or decision makers, and pass to relevant BD individuals
  • Cold calling. Able to establish connections within an organization that Mintel does not have contacts with in the past through cold calls comfortably and confidently
  • Needs matching. Understand the solutions and values Mintel provides to clients in different sectors, and the demands/requirements of a prospect through effective communications
  • Effectively utilize and analyse Mintel’s CRM system and leverage Mintel’s internal resources and working closely with marketing to ensure the quality and conversion of leads are high
