About the Role:

Data Operations play a crucial role in unlocking the full potential of data and analytics across Mindvalley. As a Data Operation Specialist, you'll lead efforts to identify data issues and their related root causes, solve data problems, optimise our data processes, and ensure data delivers a tangible business value. From data tracking to how data are stored and analysed, you will focus on the end-to-end process and your role will be pivotal in ensuring our data is trustworthy and aligned with business objectives. You will also work with a range of stakeholders to plan, establish and manage data governance, evangelise data culture and drive data operational excellence.


Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence:

  • Independently lead process improvement initiatives within data domains, with a focus on enhancing efficiency by leveraging end-to-end knowledge of data processes and flows. Actively propose and implement solutions to optimise data workflows.
  • Identify, drive, and influence solutions that address vital structural Data issues and ensure the proper outcomes and measurements are implemented and sustained within the data.
  • Promote end-to-end data operational excellence by ensuring data is trusted and connected and drives value for the business teams.

Business Requests & Issue Resolution:

  • Skilfully address and resolve business requests related to data issues and inquiries independently, ensuring minimal disruptions to data operations and facilitating seamless resolution.
  • Take ownership of escalated data issues or discrepancies and provide timely updates and resolutions to stakeholders, demonstrating accountability and leadership.

Project Management and Problem-Solving:

  • Manage projects with a higher degree of autonomy, addressing complex challenges and making informed decisions aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead initiatives to optimise business processes within Data Operation, employing a Lean approach and effectively managing stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Technical Expertise and Tool Proficiency:

  • Independently demonstrate advanced technical expertise and tool proficiency, utilizing tools and technologies to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Guide team members in technical domains and tool usage, fostering knowledge transfer and skill development.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Engage and collaborate autonomously with cross-functional stakeholders, with a specific focus on data domains. Understand their data-related needs and build strong working relationships to support project success.
  • Actively contribute data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders, leveraging expertise to drive strategic data initiatives and align objectives across teams.

Data Governance and Data Management:

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements relevant to data operation, such as GDPR, and actively ensure adherence to data privacy and operational requirements.
  • Identify, drive and implement processes to effectively and efficiently administer data governance and management policies focusing especially on naming conventions, accessibility, data architecture and data analytics best practices.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilise data analysis tools independently to extract insights and provide data-driven recommendations for decision-making and process improvements.
  • Drive data analysis and reporting, guiding and supporting stakeholders.
  • Lead data culture change initiatives and influence how people use data, promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making and fostering the adoption of best practices within the organization.

Communication:

  • Effectively communicate organisational changes and updates autonomously, facilitating stakeholder visibility and awareness through various communication channels.
  • Ensure clear and concise documentation of key information, maintaining alignment and adherence to standards without oversight.

Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Demonstrate leadership qualities by fostering a positive team culture and actively mentoring junior team members for their growth and development within Data Operations.
  • Lead by example, taking ownership of mistakes, working towards mitigation, and providing expert insights and solutions to resolve team challenges.

Values Alignment:

  • Autonomously exemplify organisational values and ethical principles, promoting integrity, trust, and professionalism within the team and organisation.
  • Ensure appropriate prioritisation of issues, adherence to SLAs, and maintenance of documentation related to recruitment processes without supervision.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in data operations or related roles.
  • Work experience with digital data pipelines and processes
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in data tracking, analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Looker Studio, Metabase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, DBT, Segment, etc)
  • Advanced data expertise (e.g. master data, SQL, BigQuery, or other database/data warehouse applications, etc)
  • Strong commitment to reverse engineering processes to identify root causes and solve issues
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and mentorship abilities.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical principles and values within the organisation.
  • Continuous improvement mindset
