About The Role

The PR Manager will spearhead Mindvalley Public Relations efforts, influencer engagement, and Social Media leadership initiatives. The primary objective of this role is to elevate MV and MV Founder brand presence and foster engagement with our target demographics. Working closely with the Chief Growth Officer in collaborating extensively with the PR agency you will serve as a pivotal link in communications, both internally and externally. The PR Manager will harness industry insights, consumer data, and analytics to craft compelling narratives and influencer strategies in partnership with PR agencies. Additionally, this role will entail substantial collaboration with marketing and events teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies to enhance the visibility and reputation of Mindvalley brand and the personal brand of the MV Founder.
  • Collaborate closely with the Founder and senior leadership to understand their vision, values, and key messages, and ensure alignment with PR initiatives.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure coverage for the company brand and founder across relevant platforms.
  • Proactively identify and capitalize on PR opportunities, such as speaking engagements, interviews, and thought leadership articles, to position the company and founder as industry leaders while considering potential partners and company growth opportunities.
  • Work with external agencies to create compelling press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials to effectively communicate key messages and announcements.
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests, coordinating responses and spokesperson availability as needed.
  • Monitor media coverage and social media mentions related to the company and founder, providing regular updates and analysis to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Social Media, and Content teams, to ensure consistency of messaging and alignment of PR efforts with broader marketing initiatives.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to PR efforts, such as media impressions, sentiment analysis, and share of voice.

Technical Competencies:

  • Media Monitoring Tools: Proficiency in using media monitoring tools such as Meltwater, Cision, or Mention to track media coverage, analyze sentiment, and identify PR opportunities.
  • Analytics Platforms: Experience with analytics platforms like Google Analytics, social media analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite), and PR measurement tools to track and analyze PR metrics and performance.
  • Content Management Systems (CMS): Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) to update and maintain company websites, blogs, and other digital content.
  • Email Marketing Platforms: Knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) to create and distribute newsletters, press releases, and other email communications.
  • Social Media Management Tools: Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Buffer, Sprout Social, Hootsuite) to schedule posts, monitor social media channels, and analyze engagement metrics.
  • Presentation Software: Proficiency in presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides) to create and deliver compelling presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • CRM Systems: Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage media contacts, track interactions, and maintain a database of influencers and stakeholders.
  • Web Analytics: Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track website traffic, user behavior, and conversion metrics related to PR initiatives.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively conveying messages to internal and external stakeholders, crafting compelling narratives, and building relationships with media contacts.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify PR challenges, analyze situations, and develop effective solutions is important for overcoming obstacles and achieving PR objectives in a dynamic environment.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary for prioritizing tasks, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced PR environment.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as marketing, communications, and executive leadership is essential for aligning PR efforts with broader business goals and achieving collective success.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Emotional intelligence, including empathy, self-awareness, and the ability to understand and navigate interpersonal dynamics, is valuable for building rapport, resolving conflicts, and fostering positive relationships.

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in PR, with a focus on brand management and media relations.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing PR campaigns that have generated positive media coverage and increased brand visibility.
  • Strong understanding of media relations, including experience pitching and securing coverage with top-tier media outlets.
