About the Role

As the Lead or Seinor Payroll & Benefits Specialist at Mindvalley, you are tasked with a pivotal role in managing our global compensation and benefits structure to ensure it remains competitive, fair, and in line with our organizational goals. Your expertise in data analysis, strategic planning, and detailed reporting will be instrumental in overseeing outsourced payroll processes, conducting comprehensive cost vs. benefit analyses, and working in tandem with HR leadership team, finance, and external partners. Your efforts will be vital in enhancing employee satisfaction and positioning our company as a top choice for talent worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Global Payroll Oversight and Accuracy:

    • Supervise the outsourced payroll process across multiple global locations, including Malaysia, Estonia, the US, and other locations via an Employer of Record (EOR), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    • Conduct regular reconciliations and audits to maintain payroll integrity and accuracy.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Utilize advanced Excel skills for in-depth HR data analysis, generating actionable insights.
    • Create detailed and comprehensive reports for HRBPs to inform strategic HR decision-making.
  • Benefits Management:

    • Evaluate, manage, and adapt employee benefits programs across various locations, considering local regulations and cultural norms.
    • Perform cost vs. benefit analyses for potential benefits offerings, such as parking vs. public transport allowances, to assess their impact and feasibility.
  • Strategic Planning and Forecasting:

    • Collaborate with the finance department to provide precise HR forecast data and align budget allocations.
    • Lead initiatives to keep our compensation and benefits packages competitive on a global scale.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Work closely with HRBPs, finance, and external service providers to enhance process efficiency and data sharing.
    • Maintain open communication with employees and leadership to address compensation and benefits needs effectively.

Technical Competencies

  • Advanced Excel Skills: Expertise in using Excel for complex data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • Data Analysis: Strong ability to analyze and leverage HR data to drive strategic decisions.
  • HR Systems Knowledge: Proficiency with HR software and systems relevant to global compensation and benefits management.
  • Financial Acumen: A solid understanding of financial principles related to HR budgeting and forecasting, with a specific focus on global operations

  • Strategic Thinking: Capability to develop long-term strategies for maintaining competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and reporting.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a global compensation and benefits role, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex benefits programs across different countries.
  • Experience in working with outsourced payroll providers, including conducting payroll reconciliations and ensuring accuracy across multiple global locations.
  • A strong background in HR data analysis, reporting, and financial forecasting in a global context.
  • Proven track record of effective collaboration with HRBPs, finance, and external partners.
  • Experience in conducting cost vs. benefit analyses and presenting findings to leadership.
  • Familiarity with global compensation and benefits trends, regulations, and best practices is preferred.
