About The Role

As a Finance Manager at our company, your role will be instrumental in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and effectively. You will take on a variety of responsibilities, from financial reporting to budgeting and taxation, all while contributing to the strategic direction and long-term planning of the organization. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, your expertise in Accounting, Consolidation, Taxation, Budgeting, Forecasting, Project Management, and Billing Systems implementation will play a pivotal role in our company's financial success.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

    • Highly skilled in finance operations namely Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Asset Management and Treasury as well as both US GAAP and local accounting standards 
    • Prepare comprehensive accounting and financial statement reports.
    • Manage group consolidation for international parent and subsidiary companies.
    • Collaborate with Group Finance, CFO, and CEO for budgeting and forecasting.

Taxation and Compliance:

    • Handle international taxation matters, including corporate taxes, sales taxes, VAT, withholding taxes, and transfer pricing.
    • Manage external auditors and prepare audited financial statements.

Project Leadership:

    • Lead finance-related projects, including billing systems implementation.
    • Identify and implement process improvements for financial transactions and reporting.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive results.
    • Manage budgets and ensure project delivery within scope and quality standards.

Business and Finance Flows:

    • Map end-to-end business and finance flows across companies.
    • Identify process gaps and conduct process improvement/re-engineering.

Technical Competencies

    • Financial Reporting and Consolidation: Proficiency in finance operations management and preparing comprehensive accounting and financial statement reports, as well as managing group consolidation for international entities.
    • Taxation Expertise: Strong understanding of international taxation matters, including corporate taxes, sales taxes, VAT, withholding taxes, and transfer pricing. Knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations.
    • Project Management: Experience in leading finance-related projects, including the implementation of billing systems. Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting: Expertise in budgeting and forecasting processes, including collaboration with cross-functional teams.
    • Compliance: Knowledge of relevant US GAAP, local accounting standards  and regulations to ensure compliance in financial operations.

Skills & Experiences:

  • Minimum  5+ years of relevant experience in accounting, consolidation, taxation, finance, audit or business finance consulting, preferably in one of these sectors: technology, consumer products or online education sector.
    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Business Administration or relevant professional certifications (such as CPA or CFA) is highly desirable.
  • Highly-developed analytical skills, to compile analysis and also draw conclusions around key business and financial matters.
  • Successful experience in project management, system improvement, accounting and taxation frameworks.
  • Experience with Quickbooks, NetSuite Financial Reporting and US GAAP would be a plus
