We have circa 250 employees across the UK and APAC and your role will provide support across all teams providing you with immense exposure to our business and an incredible opportunity to learn. Primarily supporting the UK and APAC lines of business, the People Advisor will also support Regional & Global People initiatives.

 

About the role

This role is a true generalist HR role with multiple responsibilities that will flex to the business need. Alongside running the smooth operations and often rolling your sleeves up to lend a hand, you will also need to think strategically and carve out time to deliver important People related projects. The role will often balance strategic thinking with ‘rolling up your sleeves’. More specifically, you will:​

  • Partner with Mind Gym’s Senior Leadership team to help them drive and deliver exceptional business performance in their teams through the culture you build together;​
  • Facilitate dialogue groups to drive continuous learning amongst people managers;​
  • Contribute strategic insight, implementing engagement and team building activities;
  • Be the project owner for key People initiatives, such as our engagement survey ensuring that action planning is alive for each team day to day;
  • Establish/develop the UK and APAC strategy to implement our global ‘exceptional place to work,’ plan leveraging internal products where appropriate;​
  • Deliver our objective setting, performance and pay review process, supporting Managers to have meaningful conversations to change behaviour and empower our teams to be their best;
  • Use all available People data to aid decision making and drive efficiency;​
  • Oversee all generalist and employee relation matters including absence, disciplinary and performance, maternities, flexible working, etc;
  • Stay up to date with the employment law landscape, assess risk and keep our employees and business compliant;
  • Partner with the People Ops team, Global L&D Manager and US People Partner to implement various initiatives around culture and engagement, training/career development, internal comms and further team building activities.

 

About you

No task is too big or too small for the right individual – and the opportunity to help build a bold People strategy is exhilarating. More specifically, you’ll be a blend of the following skills and attributes:

  • Experienced HR Generalist within in a high growth, small to medium sized business. If you have some Tech experience even better;​
  • Proven track record of delivering People related projects from end to end and managing multiple projects or pieces of work simultaneously;​
  • Exceptional communication skills, you’re able to create deep, trusting partnerships with leaders, managers and employees and explain complexity in simple ways that are understood​
  • Strong analytical skills, you’re able to extract meaningful insight from data and convey it with clarity;​
  • Acute attention-to-detail, you deliver a quality finish in all tasks and interactions without exception;​
  • Initiative, you are comfortable operating in an environment where ready-made processes don’t always exist – you can navigate ambiguity and ensure you spot opportunities for things to be improved;​
  • Natural facilitator, you engage teams with a balance of credibility and charisma;​
  • Exceptional organisational skills. You plan things it out in advance, taking people with you;​
  • Extraordinary collaboration skills, you can easily build partnerships and rapport with a variety of teams in different regions
