Reporting to the VP, People & Culture, the Director of Learning, Development & Culture is responsible for defining the organization's L&D and culture strategy. You will be vital in developing and assuring functional competence and to support the creation of a strategic learning organization and accelerate growth through the development of our people. We are rapidly growing in a dynamic industry and you will be integral to our future – ensuring great employee learning experiences, fostering a continuous learning culture where employees share knowledge across the teams and can continue to develop in emerging technologies.

What you'll be doing: 

  • Consult with business leaders and HR business partners to set direction for learning and development solutions aligned to our strategic direction of building emerging soft and technical skills
  • Build a team of learning & development experts to support business needs
  • Identify and collaborate for success with vendors and internal partners to develop learning experiences and solutions to build capabilities
  • Oversee and negotiate vendor and contract management as required
  • Guide business leaders and HR in performance consulting to assess needs and define targeted solutions for the modern learner
  • Deliver new learning programs to foster the growth and evolution of our team
  • Participate in building and scaling knowledge and community sharing programs to foster expertise sharing and supporting job community improvement such as role/responsibilities/skills required etc.
  • Support organizational challenges within the various business units through your team in order to optimize productivity and the development of key talents
  • Participate to the collaboration between the various HR services and teams in order to ensure the coherence of the annual HR cycle
  • Assist in the supervision, assessment and coaching of team members 
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management
  • Implement national learning programs and initiatives to address needs of multiple business units globally
  • Implement an LMS, define content, scheduling and tracking attendance and completion
  • Seek out the latest research and best practices and identify key trends
  • Train hiring managers and HR staff on how to select, manage, evaluate and retain diverse employees. Measure and forecast diversity metrics
  • Train the management team and develop their team members through career pathing & development plans
  • Own company culture and implement initiatives that will foster a positive, collaborative yet performance driven culture

What you'll need to be successful:

Must Haves:

  • Well-versed in adult education and blended learning solutions
  • University degree in a relevant field or relevant technical training with proven organizational development skills
  • 8 to 10 years’ experience in Learning & Development either within a corporate organization and/or in learning firms specifically focused on technology development solutions
  • A minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role
  • Post-graduate education in business, Human Resources, Adult Learning, Organization Development or equivalent
  • Curriculum design skills using instructional design methodologies and leveraging technology
  • Experience in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology or training deals
  • Exceptional consulting and communication skills; ability to speak to colleagues at all seniority levels
