Role Description:

Mill is seeking a Data Analytics Intern for the upcoming summer. As part of the analytics team, you will collaborate with product and business teams to provide insights and analyses that support effective decision-making. You will have the opportunity to be one of the first people to explore the data collected from our website, mobile app, and kitchen bin as a newly launched startup.This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience working with real-world data and developing new insights into customer behavior. We are looking for a motivated and driven individual who is passionate about data and eager to acquire new skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate data from web, app, and device levels to provide a comprehensive view of product performance.
  • Identify relevant metrics to help product and business teams understand user base health. Present these findings on a weekly basis with a strong focus on recommendations.
  • Use SQL queries to generate self-service dashboards for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Analyze our device logs and uncover insights that contribute to product and business decision-making.
  • Spot opportunities to automate data reporting and create Python scripts to implement them.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders by delivering analyses promptly while understanding their needs.

 

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a degree program related to data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Experience with Python and data analysis libraries, such as pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner.

The estimated base hourly range for this position is $30 to $40, which does not include the value of benefits or a potential equity grant. A wide range of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, market conditions, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs. At Mill, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
