How can you help Mike?

The State Operations Director is responsible for strategic resource management to support the operational and logistical needs of the grassroots organizing program. In this role you’ll mange a wide variety of demands including from State Leadership, political networks, vendors, and campaign colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing around the clock, day-to-day support to state leadership and organizing teams to ensure they have everything they need to hit their programmatic and voter contact goals
  • Assisting in the planning, management and implementation of a dynamic and multi-faceted budget process to ensure the success of your state’s organizing plan
  • Collaborating with State Leadership on strategies to hit program metrics, including hiring and onboarding, identifying, securing and managing organizing and headquarters office space, and maximizing resources
  • Serving as the primary liaison between your State Leadership and HQ stakeholders as it relates to Legal, Budget, Vetting, Compliance, Accounts Payable, etc.
  • Building, refining and implementing processes and systems to improve efficiency
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for all HR, personnel, and performance issue management

You'll need to have: 

  • One cycle of political campaign comparable political experience or start up / consulting /organizational management is preferred
  • Experience managing resources, specifically budget management
  • An innate ability to execute under pressure and stay on task
  • Especially strong problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and roll-up-my-sleeves approach
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Customer-service oriented and strong work ethic
  • Experience working on or with political field programs and/or campaigns preferred
  • Phenomenal work ethic; with long hours and weekends needed.
