Mighty is using technology to solve one of the most important and overlooked challenges of our time: the steep obstacles faced by accident victims and the people supporting them to achieve medical recovery, financial security, and legal justice. We reject society’s stigma around personal injury and see a service that, when done well, delivers justice for millions of ordinary people who could not otherwise afford it. Fresh off our 2021 Series B from a top-tier VC, we’re building innovative solutions at the intersection of legal, financial, and health tech for the injured and everyone who supports them.
Mighty is looking for a Senior Product Designer to be a driving force in creating intuitive and elegant solutions for our users. In this role, you will build new product experiences from the ground-up while optimizing existing capabilities for our clients, partners, and Mighty team members. The interfaces you design will help power a technology-enabled consumer service at scale. This role will report to the Director of Product Design and will be based in our NYC office.
This is a strategic role impacting the lives of our users, the success of our partners and customers, and the direction of our business.
What you'll do:
Contribute to the full user experience vision and roadmap for Mighty’s products, spanning consumers, business partners and customers, and Mighty’s own team
Define user journeys through a complex tech-enabled service, spanning all users’ interactions with technology and people
Partner with the rest of the Product team to define and iterate the full product roadmap
Create and validate user-centric designs based on deep understanding of our users from pure research and discovery, quantitative data, usability testing, and intuition
Translate complex solutions into optimal user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and clickable prototypes to communicate and validate designs, usability, and outcomes
Collaborate closely with engineering to deliver the desired UX
We want to hear from you if you:
Have 4+ years of product design or other relevant experience with SaaS products and tech-enabled services
Are deeply empathetic toward our users and have a genuine desire to help them
Are comfortable executing through change, uncertainty, and ambiguity
Hold an understanding of the difference between truly simplifying complexity versus making something simple by ignoring its complexity
Have expertise in user research - ranging from scrappy to best-in-class processes
Have excellent skills for capturing, analyzing, and applying quantitative and qualitative data
Have a talent for structured thinking, self organization, and aggressive prioritization
Are passionate about distilling complexity into elegant, intuitive UX
