EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT: 1-year temporary contract, full-time. Possibility to extend contract after completion.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, assembles, calibrates and tests cabinet assemblies and less complicated subassemblies of scientific laboratory instruments and equipment.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs basic assembly of cabinets and less complicated subassemblies including preparation of parts, actual assembly, testing, stainless steel tube bending, calibration and packaging of the product to customer specifications.
- Utilizes documentation such as assembly drawings, Bill of Materials and routings to assemble product.
- Performs welding, fabricating, wiring, crimping and mechanical assembly.
- Self-inspect work and quality methodologies throughout the assembly process.
- Maintains neat and orderly work area to ensure efficiency and no safety hazards.
- Meets all quality, quantity and established manufacturing practices to satisfy customer requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical studies and knowledge and/or 1-2 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly and repair.
- Wiring electrical distribution panel instruments and accessories.
- Good hand/eye coordination and use of hand tools.
- Ability to read and write and follow basic drawings/schematics.
- Ability to use basic assembly, measuring tools and machining equipment.
- Certification in Stainless Steel welding and knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is desired.
- Basic PC skills / use of computers and Office 365 suite package.
- Positive attitude, ability to work well with others and willingness to learn.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Thursday 7:00AM-8:30AM to 15:15PM – 16:45PM / Friday 7:00-8:30 to 14:45 – 16:15: (Flex/8-hour shift)
