Mic is a diverse news and media company for young people. Our mission is to inform, inspire, and empower our generation to make change happen. Each month, more than 65 million young people rely on Mic to make sense of the world.
The Payoff is looking for an intern who loves writing and reporting and is curious about the world of money — especially the ways that young people can gain independence through financial knowledge.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented self-starter who has interest in some of the wide topics The Payoff covers — from career advice, to basic savings and credit management, to weird new industries, to entrepreneurship and beyond. The intern will report to Mic’s Senior Money Editor.
This is a paid full-time summer internship based in New York City. We expect interns to work 40 hours a week for the duration of the program (June 5, 2017 - August 11, 2017). Interns are responsible for arranging their own housing and transportation.
