The Production Supervisor sets the team up to win on all safety, quality and productivity goals on a daily 
basis. The Supervisor leads the team to produce finished goods that meet or exceed consumer’s 
expectations. Also providing assurance the all items comply with internal food safety, quality standards 
and regulatory requirements. Team training and development is a crucial focus in ensuring a continuous 
improvement environment that promotes changes that reinforces the Mezzetta beliefs.

Major Role & Responsibilities (MR’s) and Output and Measurement

1. Build and lead a high performance team that puts Mezzetta’s’ culture into action
2. Supervise and run optimum day-to-day line operations to exceed customers’ expectations
3. Ensure the safety of production personnel in accordance with local, state and company rules and regulations.
4. Product to planned schedule to ensure product is high quality and available to ship to customers
5. Maintain systems and processes that optimize and achieve maximum productivity to performance targets and standards for excellence.
6. Apply continuous improvement strategy’s to stay up to date with leadership best practices and concepts.
7. It is company policy that all personnel able to affect product quality, safety and/or legality are competent and trained to ensure they can effectively carry out their role. Responsibilities and authorities of all personnel are communicated to them via induction and role training.


  • Strong knowledge of computers including Microsoft office suite
  • Previous experience leading diverse working groups of production personnel
  • Required = minimum level required for performing the position
  • Preferred = level that enables a successful performance of the position
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Possess skills to communicate in Spanish preferred but not required


  • University undergraduate degree preferred
  • 3+ years of leadership or supervisory role
  • 5+ years in production capacity in food industry (2 years waived with Technical Degree

  • Utilize root cause analysis tools to find and resolve issues at the lowest level possible. 

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing work environment – must be able to work in a range of temperatures and humidity (heat and cold)
  • Ability to work around heavy equipment and product machinery
  • Some lifting and moving product and or equipment (50lbs)
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed
  • Function in environment that requires bending, stooping, standing, lifting, and climbing stairs.
Pay Range
$65,000$95,000 USD
