Position: Director, Strategic Partner Success

Location: Santa Monica, Chicago, Nashville, New York

The Company

Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision technology to enable "checkout-free" experiences in the real world. Today, we are reimagining parking to enable millions of consumers to just "drive in and drive out." We envision a future where people transact in the real world with even greater ease than experienced online. Tomorrow, we will power checkout-free experiences anywhere you go.

The Role

We are establishing a new team to own our most critical relationships, to engage proactively with executive partners, and to develop and drive forward a programmatic approach to retaining our highest value strategic partners across institutional real estate, university, health care, and municipal verticals. This team reports to our Revenue department and works closely with key members of the Metropolis executive team.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary relationship owner of our most critical real estate partners and their executives.
  • Own portfolio-wide customer success, retention, and upsell for Metropolis’ highest value strategic enterprise partners.
  • Nurture and develop existing relationships and -- through active stakeholder mapping -- identify new relationships within existing partner organizations.
  • Host executive-level monthly and quarterly business reviews with strategic real estate partners.
  • Develop an annual engagement strategy per partner including in-person events.
  • Serve as the conduit between Metropolis site-level and regional operations, and our most critical real estate partners and their national executive teams.
  • Collaborate with and support Directors of Partner Strategy & Expansion to secure portfolio-wide deployment of Metropolis with our largest partners nationally.
  • Serve as the voice of our customer internally across functions and make the business case for new products that unlock expansion opportunities.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • You know how to manage multi-million-dollar accounts simultaneously.
  • You are data-driven and know how to tell great stories that showcase our value and product differentiators to our existing partners.
  • You demonstrate optimism, respect for others, and the ability to work well in a team and across functions.
  • You take the time to build helpful relationships internally and externally, earning the trust of others within both our organization and with strategic accounts through strong business acumen, situational awareness, and reliability.
  • You excel in high pressure situations and can defuse any significant customer escalations.
  • You employ advanced communication skills and emotional intelligence to clearly, persuasively, and confidently deliver information to a variety of audiences.
  • You have a proven talent as a chaos pilot. Metropolis is growing quickly, and we’re constantly in the act of building the company we want to be. If you’re looking to inherit a binder of SOPs, this isn’t the job for you. If you thrive in environments that require strong opinions loosely held and can quickly make decisions with imperfect information, we’d love to meet you.
  • Competitive candidates will already speak the language of commercial real estate and have an 8+ year background in asset management, real estate development, technology, consulting, or a similar field.
  • Expect travel each month for both internal and external meetings.

When you join Metropolis, you’ll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows. The anticipated base pay for this position is $130,000.00 to 160,000.00 annually. The actual base pay offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base pay is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a bonus plan and more.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
