Meter provides internet infrastructure for businesses. We build enterprise-grade networks that are faster, more accessible, and more secure. Our full-stack approach combines hardware, software, and operations so that any company can easily set up and run a modern network. Our long-term ambition is to evolve internet infrastructure into a turnkey utility.

About the role

The Marketing team is responsible for driving Meter’s growth and brand affinity and deeply understanding Meter’s customers and partners.

We are looking for our first field marketing manager to help accelerate our growth and brand awareness. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build out this new function, establish our field marketing strategy, and help drive new business and the adoption of Meter’s products and services. You will work closely with Meter’s founders and cross-functional leadership teams – sales, partnerships, product, customer success, and design.

We are looking for people who are excited to work on complex problems, enjoy learning and working with others, and above all, are kind and ambitious. We are building for the long term and just getting started. We'd love your help.

This is a hybrid role based out of our SF office. Our in-office days are Tuesday through Thursday. That said, we expect this role to require a high frequency of travel.

You will have an impact by

  • Developing Meter’s field marketing strategy with the goals of increasing awareness and trust, attracting leads, and accelerating the sales pipeline
  • Planning and executing all event programming, including trade shows, conferences, executive roundtables, customer advisory boards, webinars
  • Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (marketing, sales, customer success) to align, plan, and measure events based on sales pipeline goals
  • Measuring the effectiveness and success of marketing programs to make recommendations for future events
  • Managing the field marketing budget and resources to maximize ROI

You might be a good fit if you

  • Have 5+ years of B2B event marketing experience
  • Have a proven track record of planning and executing successful events and campaigns across tentpole, industry and high touch events
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Are results-oriented and self-motivated, able to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Are highly resilient and remain optimistic in the face of adversity — you see challenge as an opportunity for growth and impact
  • Are hyper-organized about prioritizing project requests and committing to deadlines
  • Have experience working with a CRM; we use Salesforce
