The Role

As our Revenue Analyst in San Francisco, CA, you will be a significant contributor to our revenue and accounting operations. This role will split time between revenue operations and technical accounting. You’ll work closely with the Senior Manager of Revenue and Technical Accounting, Controller, CFO and Sales Operations team throughout the entire quote to cash cycle and have the opportunity to make a big impact along the way.  You will also assist with supporting the year end audit. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of revenue recognition principles and US GAAP, be proficient in the Netsuite ERP System, and be a detail oriented self-starter.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Revenue and Technical Accounting in San Francisco, CA.


  • Review all new customer contracts and summarize key terms and revenue recognition implications in our contract review template
  • Own the quote to cash cycle, including: Entering all new sales orders into NetSuite, Invoicing customers timely and managing the international collections process, entering cash receipts into NetSuite on a daily basis, and creating and entering revenue plans and arrangements in NetSuite for all new contracts
  • Work with the Professional Services teams to track hours incurred for revenue recognition and compile billable expenses to invoice our customers
  • Manage customer record data in NetSuite
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for revenue recognition
  • Reconcile deferred revenue monthly
  • Reconcile A/R at month-end and prepare weekly A/R aging for executive team
  • Identify and communicate potential revenue issues
  • Work with Netsuite consultants on the Netsuite system Advanced Revenue Module implementation due to the adoption of ASC 606
  • Prepare capitalized commissions calculations under ASC 606
  • Manage the relationship with our sales tax consultants, determine which sales are taxable, prepare and submit monthly/quarterly sales tax filings, and reconcile sales tax payable monthly
  • Other month-end close responsibilities include the calculation and amortization of capitalized costs
  • Assist in US audit process and interact with external auditors, including the preparation of revenue and A/R related financial statement disclosures
  • Ad hoc projects as necessary


  • BA in Accounting or equivalent – CPA preferred
  • 2 - 4 years accounting experience with knowledge of US GAAP
  • Revenue and quote to cash cycle experience
  • Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred. Experience with Netsuite Advanced Revenue Module a plus
  • Experience with customer contract review and documentation
  • Software revenue recognition experience and ASC 606 experience a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Must be a self-starter and team player and able to work in a fast pace and rapidly changing environment
