Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute successful sales cycles around High Potential Enterprise prospects that are looking to deploy next generation disruptive data driven applications at massive scale and help them understand the Mesosphere approach and the Mesosphere differentiation.
  • Thoroughly qualify business opportunities and drive sales engagements through MEDDIC methodology to ensure optimized results of invested time
  • Build a sustainable network that includes partners, integrators and analysts to help evangelize the Mesosphere approach.
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of customers that want to partner with Mesosphere and join us on the Rocket Ship as we change the way applications are built and deployed.
  • Build sustainable relationships with our prospects and customers. Understand their requirements and represent them to our product, support and executive teams to help us build world-class software.
  • Extensive travel to customers and partners across assigned territory (Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Eastern Europe)

Skills & Requirements

  • Good general knowledge and interest in the new technologies in the field of Big Data, IoT and dataccenter technology landscape
  • 5+ years field software sales experience
  • Familiarity with the open source ecosystem and the container landscape
  • Continuous demonstrated success at one organization (3 years minimum with at least one company)
  • Knows how a typical IT organization runs and acts from a datacenter and application lens
  • Proven ability in prioritizing accounts and opportunities in a big market, prospecting into new accounts, mapping out the org and finding new opportunities (land and expand)
  • Entrepreneurial style; have a creative approach to business development and a process to get in and establish new accounts. You understand that “there is no one way.”
  • You must have a burning desire to be successful and to see your customers and virtual teams succeed.
