Summary
We are looking for our next Financial Data and Research Analyst based in Bangalore. Supported by and reporting to the Head of Product, you will be joining a friendly and growing team, and participating in our next phase of growth. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team and help build cutting edge indexing and technology solutions for our clients.
What will you do?
As part of the Product Management team, you will support the team’s initiatives globally with a focus on equity indices and products. This multifaceted role includes ownership of internal and external projects. Responsibilities include:
- Identify and manage all facets and steps needed for the launch of new products and indices, including user acceptance testing. Liaise and work with internal teams for execution.
- Perform data validation on index calculations and other derived data.
- Analyze and validate incoming data sets.
- Support content creation (collateral, white papers, blogs) for new and existing products.
What the position requires:
- Undergraduate degree required. Master’s degree in a relevant field or progress towards a CFA Charter holder status a plus.
- 1-5 years of relevant work experience in financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills are essential, comfort with large financial datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill. The position requires interacting with sophisticated clients. The ability to learn and ask questions is paramount.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a global team. Candidate can effectively influence others and gain their consensus when needed.
- Demonstrated ability to handle steep learning curves; Candidate should be very comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty.
Preferred Qualifications
- Programming skills (Python, SQL, others)
- Knowledge of financial data packages and familiarity with vendors such as FactSet, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Barra, Axioma, etc.
