What is Menyala?
We are a venture building team founded by Temasek, a global investment firm headquartered in Singapore. Currently operating as a single cross-functional strategy and business startup team, Menyala has a 2-pronged mission:

What You'll Do
- Run the day-to-day finance operations needs including reviewing and processing of vendor invoices bookings, staff claims and payments
- Design, setup and manage Accounting tools and systems (e.g. Xero, NetSuite, etc.)
- Follow up with buyers / suppliers on various finance matters for the cross-border trade transactions
- Manage and build from scratch the process for financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
- Guide the cost / opex analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
- Build from scratch a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
- Monitor key operating metrics such as cash flow, working capital, inventory turnover, etc.
Ideal Candidate Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or any other related field | CPA or similar qualification will be a plus.
- Experience working in a start-up finance operations environment
- Well-versed in cross border finance and accounting matters and settlements via multiple currencies
- Extreme attention to detail and deadline management, with an insistence on high standards
