What is the role?

Menyala's People team is pivotal in nurturing a workplace environment that fosters innovation and growth. You'll focus on aligning HR strategies with business goals, driving talent management initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering employee engagement. Your objective is to create a supportive and thriving workplace where our team can excel and contribute to the organisation's success.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Own and drive HR Operations:

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, including employee onboarding, off-boarding, and management /reporting of employee data.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrolment and facilitating changes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate employee training and development initiatives, as needed.
  • Ensure strict adherence to labour laws, regulations and policies related to employment, payroll, and HR operations – experience in Singapore and the United States is a plus.

Support Compensation Management and Operations:

  • Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner for all employees, including salary payments, bonuses, and end-of-year compensation cycles.
  • Validate and maintain records, calculations, and collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile payroll data.
  • Support the definition and management of long-term incentives (e.g. Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP)), including tracking and calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance for Menyala and its ventures.

Your role will involve managing tasks like payroll processing, employee benefits administration, and overseeing vendor relationships, all aimed at creating a supportive workplace where our team can thrive and contribute to Menyala’s success.
  • Integrity and Trust - Handling employee data confidentially and ensuring fairness fosters an environment where employees trust their rights are prioritised, contributing to our innovative and growth-oriented culture.
  • Learning on the Fly - Venture building at Menyala is exciting and requires being adaptable and quick to grasp new HR challenges, industry trends, and organisational needs, while proactively seeking out knowledge and innovating to drive growth.
  • Customer Focus - you have a deep understanding and meeting the needs of our internal stakeholders, such as employees and managers. It’s about listening closely to their concerns, providing timely support to enhance their employee experience.
  • Process Management - You’re supporting the design and implementation of HR workflows to advance the organisation’s goals. It involves streamlining procedures, identifying areas for improvement, and leveraging technology to enhance productivity and effectiveness in HR operations.
