The role in a nutshell
As the Director of Brand and Buzz, you’ll be the creative right hand of the CMO, driving and leading our brand strategy and brand identity. You'll lead a creative in-house team and be the partner and brand confidant for sales, product, the people team, the finance team, and every team at Mentimeter. You're obsessed with creating an impact for our customers and users, and you know how to create movements and raving fans. You understand that in order to create a unique brand personality, you need to talk to the heart. And you know that in order to gain trust from the CEO and investors, you need to talk to the head.
The Mission
- To create a world-leading brand and transform the way meetings and classes are held
- To ensure a bold, premium brand that stands out - bringing our brand to life by leading and driving the marketing department’s multi-channel communications strategy, including but not limited to thought leadership, PR, social media, and content marketing. events, trade shows, podcasts, and live shows might also be a part of it. Strive towards a consistent brand experience in all channels and touchpoints, and in close collaboration with the product team and the sales team.
- Lead to succeed - Lead, grow, and build a high-performing in-house creative team.
- Track, analyze, and tweak - Show the impact of brand initiatives in numbers, stay close to data and performance, analyze the outcome and act on the findings.
- Getting everyone on board - By utilizing great stakeholder management and communication skills, you’ll ensure that we are on board and on the same page. You'll collaborate and work closely with leaders across Mentimeter to ensure brand consistency.
- Thinking BIG and small - Set the big vision and break it down into concrete actions and projects to make the vision happen.
Who you are
- You have a strong track record leading creative marketing functions in international, enterprise, and/or product-led SaaS businesses. (When I say pipeline, demand generation, field marketing, acquisition, web, digital, and product marketing, you know what I am talking about.)
- You have demonstrable ownership of an international brand and content vision and have planned and successfully delivered against associated targets and budgets.
- You are an experienced leader who loves helping people grow and succeed, knowing that a leader's success is tied to the success of their team. Leading diverse global marketing teams, including in-house talent, agencies, and contractors, comes naturally to you. You're skilled at leading creative teams and bringing out their best, with a passion for brand building, design, and communication.
- You thrive in fast-paced environments and can juggle creative ideas with a strategic mindset while rolling up your sleeves to get things done when needed.
- You excel in verbal and written communication in English. (However, you don't have to know Swedish at all. Daily work is carried out in English, and the Mentimeter team is composed of more than 50+ different nationalities.)
- You are accustomed to being the brand budget owner, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring results from investments.
- You have a proven ability to collaborate with all levels within the organization as a tactical and strategic partner, coach, and advisor.
- You have a growth mindset, are willing to take risks, and think big.
