About this role

In this role, you will be a trusted adviser to our existing clients, partnering them to transform their business and meet their objectives through engaging a broader range of Meltwater’s various solutions. Your main responsibility is to expand existing accounts through upsells and go beyond the original buying centres to cross-sell to other departments and business units.

You will expand our client base and maintain your book of accounts in Southeast Asia through inside sales activities, exceptional relationship management and product expertise. If you are passionate about media data, business intelligence and possess top notch consultative sales skills, the Senior Sales Executive (Client Growth) role provides the opportunity to pitch cutting edge solutions to some of the most impactful and influential companies in the region.


What you will be doing?

  • Achieve monthly upsell and cross-sell targets, through expanding usage within existing accounts as well as breaking into new lines of businesses under parent accounts
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including contract generation and other deliverables for closing of deals
  • Work very closely with Account Managers to deepen and strengthen relationships with our existing clients
  • Determine appropriate value propositions and solutions to propose to clients to meet their needs and objectives
  • Appropriately influence and delight clients, aiming to exceed expectations
  • Proactively gather and stay up-to-date on industry changes, newest trends and evolvement of the market landscapes, to spot opportunities and influence how clients can use Meltwater to navigate these changes and drive maximum value for their businesses
  • Engage and educate customers on Meltwater’s available solutions & evangelize key wins within your assigned territories
  • Work across all verticals of businesses, including non-profits, SMEs, listed companies, MNCs, government agencies and more

Skills & Requirement

What we would like to see from you

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic results in any specialization
  • 1-2 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS/PR/Media/Marketing
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving abilities - someone who is clear, concise and convincing in their communications, and is comfortable negotiating with and presenting to C-Suite decision makers
  • Exceptional consultative sales skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others, and possess natural leadership qualities
  • Proven success managing time and juggling multiple duties in a high growth and fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, self-disciplined, and target driven – you have drive, stamina and a killer instinct in sales
  • Strong business acumen and a passion for entrepreneurship & technology, consultative solution selling, SaaS industry & media intelligence, and you should be a regular consumer of the news / media
  • Ability to analyse data to drive informed decision-making and recommendations
  • A keen learner and curiosity to know more about different products, industries, and your clients’ businesses
