Feeling disconnected from an industry that typically markets to men, co-founder and CEO Noura Sakkijha leveraged her learnings as a third-generation jeweler to rethink the way women purchase jewelry—for themselves. In only seven years, and with a team of over 75% women, Mejuri has shipped over one million orders and opened retail stores across the globe, all while introducing new products weekly.
 
As part of Noura’s original vision to empower women to invest in themselves, the brand launched the Empowerment Fund to support underrepresented women and non-binary individuals with the tools to empower themselves. The Role:

We’re looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our growing team and support the evolution of our Mejuri’s social presence. This role will focus on driving innovative, on-brand content through expert creative ideation, trend tracking, and flawless execution. What You'll Do:

  • Lead Content Creation: Own the end-to-end content creation process, including art direction, photography, video production, editing, and compelling copywriting.
  • Trend Analysis: Monitor emerging social media trends and identify opportunities for Mejuri to participate through native, engaging content.
  • Collaborative Brainstorms: Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions, developing innovative social-first concepts that resonate with our audience.
  • Channel Planning: Build and maintain detailed channel strategies and evergreen content calendars to ensure cohesive storytelling across platforms.
  • Asset Management: Maintain an organized digital library of assets, ensuring all materials are properly cataloged and accessible.
  • Concept Development: Create engaging concepts for seasonal campaigns, product launches, and partnerships that align with Mejuri’s brand voice and resonate with target audiences.
  • Performance Insights: Collaborate with analytics teams to assess content performance and use insights to refine strategies and improve engagement metrics.
  • Content Optimization: Test and iterate on different content formats, styles, and approaches to optimize for each platform’s unique audience behavior.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Creative Expertise: 3+ years in content creation, with proven experience in photo and video production, editing tools, and creative copywriting.
  • Trend Awareness: A sharp eye for identifying viral trends and translating them into actionable ideas aligned with brand values.
  • Social Media Fluency: Deep understanding of platform nuances, including Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on asset management and workflow optimization.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, contributing innovative ideas and fostering creative partnerships.
  • Passion for Branding: A strong understanding of how to maintain and elevate Mejuri’s brand voice and visual identity through every piece of content.

Looking for the perfect next opportunity is a big decision. Mejuri recognizes the importance of pay transparency when it comes to salary ranges as it empowers individuals through the hiring process and supports them in making an informed decision. This role currently has a base pay range of $70,000-$80,000 per annum based on a candidate’s experience and qualifications.
