About the role
Senior Designers are responsible for the design and orchestration of visual elements in a systemic composition. The discipline combines design for communication (brand, motion, and visual storytelling) and support for interaction design (UI/UX, design systems, and digital products). As a Senior Designer, you balance brand, motion, and product; functional clarity, and business impact.
As a Senior Designer, you are expected to represent depth in the craft of visual design. You will often be the backbone of your projects from beginning to end. You will plan, prioritize, and deliver visual design activities autonomously, in the context of interdisciplinary projects. You will lead conversations within your domain, providing recommendations and helping guide design choices.
Responsibilities
- Translate brand principles, themes, and moods into strategic frameworks for visual expressions
- Conceptualize, create and share motion graphics and animations that align with and achieve project goals
- Create scalable design language systems for typography, color, components, and layouts
- Support design efforts for our products
- Design brand identities and brand collateral
- Create multi-media narratives that tell engaging stories of a team, project, or deliverable, with the audience and communication objective in mind
- Evolve brand expression; by building on either existing direction, or creating one from scratch
- Drive collaboration with marketing and sales teams to align from the design purpose to the execution roadmap
- Frame a vision for art direction, photography, and illustration to reinforce product vision
- Support the team with guidance for visual expression
- Create assets that tell the story of our product in an impactful way
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional visual design experience (although you might have had a different job title like “art director”)
- Proven experience as a professional Motion Designer
- Strong portfolio demonstrating motion and design skills
- Confident presentation and storytelling abilities
- Experience collaborating in multifunctional teams as the visual design lead
- Proficiency with contemporary design tools and methods such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop) and Figma.
- Business level ability in English
Bonus if you have
- A university degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related design or artistic discipline
- Experience working in a variety of organizations (start-up, corporate, agency/consultancy)
- Experience from outside the design field that enriches your perspective as a designer

Job Compensation Range:
The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000. EliseAI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, equity, and a comprehensive benefits & perks package. Exact compensation is determined based on a number of factors including experience and skill level, location and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided by our Recruiting Team during the hiring process.
