This role will support the Accounts Payable team with general accounting and AP duties. The Staff Accountant will need to problem solve, embrace technology, and respond proactively within the department and to other departments. A successful employee should be familiar with basic accounting procedures and have a flair for customer service.
Monitor all incoming emails to Invoices inbox and respond accordingly.
Adhere to urgent check requests procedures as needed
Update Manager on any escalations and unresolved issues as they arise
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor profiles; new vendor set-up; W-9/W-8
Process accounts payable invoices that are routine in nature
Identify discrepancies and unpaid invoices and follow up as needed
Use accounting data information to resolve accounting problems and discrepancies
Prepare outgoing weekly check payments
Monitor bill payments, reconcile vendor accounts, research and resolve payment issues
Perform ad-hoc analysis, special projects, and accounting tasks as needed
Collaborate with others (employees, management, vendors) in efficient and professional manner to perform above tasks
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
1-2 Years Experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
ERP experience is strongly preferred, but not required
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
