Senior Medical Writer

MEDiSTRAVA, the specialised services team within Inizio Medical and an exciting leader in the field of medical strategy and communications, is growing! In this time, We are looking for a Senior Medical Writer to join our team in Japan.

The Role

Senior Medical Writer will be reporting to the senior strategic and scientific leads, and will be responsible for researching technical material and clinical situations, and developing content for diverse audiences. Guided by senior team leaders and aligning to client objectives and brief, you will develop content that is accurate, supported by robust evidence and that aligns with relevant editorial styles. Depending on the project, you will have the opportunity to partner with external experts or internal client teams to create content that is of maximal relevance and value to target audiences (strata, group), as well as attend client planning meetings or external scientific events, such as congresses. You will also work closely with the wider MEDiSTRAVA team across different geographies and functions.

Skills Required

• Ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new therapeutic areas and new mechanisms and technologies, understanding key points of difference across competitor therapies
• Demonstrate excellent and versatile scientific writing and editing ability; you will be asked to provide writing samples and undertake a writing test
• Experience of developing content for different healthcare medical audiences
• Create materials to a high standard and quality, with minimal internal review/assistance
• Experience of writing in a range of media, including print, video, new media (web-based work)
• Excellent quality control skills – style/consistency, grammar, scientific accuracy, proof-reading, layout.
• Ensure all writing meets our client's strategic goals and is of high scientific quality/credibility
• Familiar with relevant local, regional and global Codes of Practice for medical copy/copyright development and HCP/stakeholder engagement
• Ability to work within a team and form productive working relationships within MEDiSTRAVA and the wider Inizio organisation
• Strong client-centric attitude - proven ability to work with clients on projects, ensuring they meet strategic communication and medical needs

Experience

• Prior experience working:
• As a medical writer for a medical communications, PR or advertising agency (either as a permanent employee or freelancer), and/or
• In-house within a biopharma organisation, and/or
• Within the publications field, e.g. journal editor

役割

Senior Medical Writerは、Supervisorにあたる戦略・科学リード担当者のもとで、専門的な資料や臨床関連のリサーチ、幅広いオーディエンス向けのコンテンツ作成を担当します。シニアチームリーダーの指導のもと、クライアントの目的や要望に沿った、正確かつ確かなエビデンスに裏打ちされたコンテンツを、指定されたスタイルに沿って作成します。プロジェクトによっては、外部の専門家や社内のクライアントチームと協業し、ターゲットにとって最も関心が高く価値を持つコンテンツを作成する機会もあります。また、さまざまな地域や部門にまたがる幅広いMEDiSTRAVAの海外チームとも密接に連携します。

必要なスキル

• 新しい治療領域、新しいメカニズムやテクノロジーを速やかに順応し、競合治療薬との違いを理解する能力
• 優れた科学的文章の作成および編集能力
• 様々な医療従事者向けのコンテンツを開発した経験
• 社内でのレビューや補助を最小限に抑え、高い水準と品質の資料を作成できる能力
• 印刷物、ビデオ、新しいメディア（ウェブベースの仕事）を含む、様々なメディアでのライティング経験
• スタイル/一貫性、文法、科学的正確性、校正、レイアウトなど、優れた品質管理スキル

• • いずれの業務においてもクライアントの戦略的目標を満たし、科学的な品質と信頼性の高いライティングを保証できる力
  • 医学関連文献の執筆において、関連する地域、国、グローバルの関連レギュレーション・規制に精通していること、また医療関係者/ステークホルダーとの関係性構築においてもこれらの規制に精通していること
  • チーム内で働き、MEDiSTRAVAおよびInizioの組織内で生産的な協力関係を形成する能力
  • クライアント中心を重要視する姿勢-プロジェクトにおいてクライアントと協働し、戦略的なコミュニケーションおよび医療ニーズを満たすことができる実証可能な能力

  経験

  • 実務経験
  • メディカル・コミュニケーション、PR、広告代理店でのメディカル・ライター（正社員またはフリーランス）、および/または
  • バイオ製薬会社での社内勤務、および/または
  • 出版分野での経験（ジャーナル編集者など
