Senior/Enterprise Account Executive

MediSpend thrives off of the success of our clients, and we're looking for a strategic, growth-focused, and results-driven Enterprise Account Executive to help accelerate our growth by attaining new clients and expanding business with existing ones through the selling of cutting edge and innovative SaaS-based solutions to the life science industry.

 

As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will identify, qualify, and negotiate new business opportunities to close strategic accounts in your assigned territory to successfully achieve defined revenue and new client acquisition objectives. You will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, Director of Solutions Engineering, and senior leadership in marketing, product management, client services and operations.

 

A day in the life:

  • Secure new clients by utilizing a professional, relationship-based, consultative sales approach
  • Lead proposal development, negotiation, commercial terms and contracting of new sales opportunities
  • Identify, develop, qualify and close opportunities to meet annual sales quotas and new logo targets 
  • Partner with marketing to qualify opportunities that are generated using the MediSpend sales process of inbound and outbound marketing activities that can include: 
    • Invite prospects to meet at tradeshows, attend webinars and meetings 
    • Email drip campaigns 
    • Live client events 
  • Work synergistically with marketing to design, implement and successfully execute the conversion of leads generated from marketing programs to successfully close new business 
  • Perform demonstrations of the MediSpend Global Compliance Suite, which consists of market-leading, SaaS-based compliance product offerings currently being leveraged by nearly 150 life science companies globally 
  • Track and report performance of digital marketing activities and digital lead conversions from demo requests to the closure of new business 
  • Drive business development through a team-selling approach with tenacity and ambition to achieve target business objectives and revenue targets 
  • Utilize sales enablement tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Gong to manage and update client engagements on a regular basis to measure success of business development activities 
  • Regularly monitor industry trends, market dynamics, marketplace feedback to provide recommendations to enhance our SaaS offerings, sales approach and to strengthen our marketing efforts
  • Build personal relationships with the targeted prospective companies in support of all MediSpend sales growth initiatives 
  • Be a subject matter expert in MediSpend’s product offerings and accurately represent these capabilities within and across client stakeholder organizations, ranging from executives to end users

 

What you bring to the table:

  • 7+ years of success within a fast-paced, consultative sales environment involving direct B2B, end-user sales within the life science industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, information systems, or related field preferred and/or equivalent work experience
  • Experience at a SaaS company, an enterprise software company and/or technical corporate sales experience is required
  • Track record and demonstrated experience in driving new client acquisition through the full sales cycle, from prospecting and digital lead generation through implementation and contract renewal
  • Strong analytical skill set and ability to effectively use data for strategy
  • High degree of initiative, mature judgment and self-motivation
  • Prior experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools required
  • Must be proficient in full Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills are needed to build strong and effective relationships globally with client stakeholders including executives, functional business owners and subject matter experts
  • Consultative sales style, with the ability to listen, conduct thorough needs assessment and manage internal resources to present a solution to meet client needs
  • A true influencer, able to develop strategic client partnerships and demonstrate business acumen
  • Drive to go above and beyond to build empathy and trusting relationships
  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, is flexible regarding changes in direction, is forever curious but can zoom out to connect the dots to inform new opportunities in a variety of business, technology and functional areas

Compensation for the position posted in accordance with various states and local legislation for a permanent remote position: Annual salary of $125,000-$150,000+benefits+commissions (depending upon experience)
