Our Director of Product Management, serving as our Senior Healthcare AI Product Strategist, plays a crucial role in spearheading the development and implementation of cutting-edge AI-driven solutions in the healthcare industry. This individual will combine strategic thinking, market analysis, and technical expertise to identify unmet needs, develop compelling business cases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring groundbreaking AI products to market. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, a proven track record in AI product development, and a passion for leveraging AI to improve patient outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Market and Product Strategy: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, unmet industry needs, and potential AI applications within the healthcare sector. Develop and sequence a product roadmap aligned with market opportunities and balanced by current state, including identifying target markets, defining product features, and setting performance metrics.
Business Case Development: Build comprehensive business cases for AI-driven initiatives, including financial modeling, risk assessment, and return on investment analysis. Collaborate with finance and executive teams to secure necessary resources and support for product development.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with data scientists, engineers, executives, and other stakeholders. Translate market insights into actionable product requirements and ensure alignment across teams.
AI Innovation: Stay at the forefront of AI advancements by maintaining a deep understanding of AI technologies, regulatory landscape, and competitive landscape. Drive innovation by encouraging experimentation, idea generation, and the exploration of new AI applications within healthcare.
Product Launch and Management: Oversee the product development lifecycle, from concept to launch. Collaborate with marketing teams on the development of supporting Go to Market materials to ensure successful market introduction. Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement.
AI/ML Expertise: Leverage world-class expertise in natural language processing (NLP), including large language models (LLMs), machine learning (ML) and related tools to guide product development and innovation. Identify opportunities to leverage LLMs and generative AI to enhance product capabilities and improve healthcare outcomes.

Education, Experience, and Required Qualifications:

Advanced degree in healthcare, business, computer science, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a deep understanding of its challenges and opportunities.
Deep understanding of AI technologies, including NLP, ML, and LLMs.
Proven track record in developing and launching AI-driven products, preferably in healthcare.
Knowledge in healthcare industry AI adoption trends.
Strong analytical skills and experience in conducting market research and data analysis.
Experience in project management, financial modeling, and ROI analysis.
Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying and managing production-ready AI models.
Familiarity with healthcare data sets and data interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR).
Passion for improving patient outcomes through AI-driven solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or PhD in a related field.
Experience with healthcare data analytics and data-intensive, enterprise-level applications.
Knowledge of value-based care (VBC) models and reimbursement strategies.
Publications or presentations related to the use of LLMs in healthcare.
Familiarity with AI modeling tools such as AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML or any other modeling tools.

Additional Information:

MedeAnalytics believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000 USD + 12.5% bonus potential. Please note that actual compensations for all roles may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, relevant work experience, professional achievements/qualifications, skill level, business need, location and will be finalized at the time of offer.
