Functions & Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day function of the Facilities team, contractors and trades including, providing daily assignments, scheduling, performance evaluations, training, and hiring.
  • Overseas completion of work orders, repairs, preventative maintenance and records retention in accordance of company policy.
  • Responsible for making decisions for daily facilities support, equipment availability and safety related needs in partnership with Operations.
  • P&L responsibility for Repairs and Maintenance, Equipment Rentals and Waste Disposals.
  • Capital Project support to include collaboration with Operations, planning, budgeting and project execution.
  • Responsible for being a subject matter expert within Facilities and providing recommendations to Leadership.
  • Diagnose Mechanical and Electrical systems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electrical/mechanical schematics), and diagnostic tools.
  • Manages facility repair requests and assigns qualified vendors/contractors to complete the work, while maintaining a cost-conscious mindset and budget.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of lease terms, common area maintenance and blueprints.
  • Receive, verify, and process invoices/payments for services rendered within payment terms.
  • Maintain communication on project status with contractors, leadership and internal team.
  • Develop and enforce facilities processes, procedures and policies with vendors, trades, sites and leaders.
  • Measure and report out key performance metrics for response time, ticket resolution, and call center indicators.
  • Manage complex projects including disaster recovery, renovations, relocations, new store openings, and special assignments.
  • Adheres to department and company standards, operating procedures and safety requirements.
  • Develops rapport, trust, and open communication to enhance the growth and job performance of direct reports.
  • Collaborates with internal and external business partners, while fostering a positive working culture.

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, business or other related field preferred.
  • Experience remotely leading multi-unit repair and maintenance program and ticket management platform.
  • Prior experience in the facilities management, construction, and/or trades preferred.
