We are a collaborative mid-sized agency with an immediate opportunity for a Director to join our growing Lifestyle  team!

As a Director on the Lifestyle team, you will lead some of our biggest and most exciting spirits & beverages brands.  You’ll be responsible for the development and execution of successful client programs.  You’ll possess expert client relations skills, people and agency management skills, marketing savvy to sell in new projects and identify new business, lead presentations, and guide your brands to success.  You’ll also manage an amazing, passionate and talented team.

Who You Are 

  • A current Account Director (or equivalent title with 9+ years of experience in marketing/public relations) 
  • An integrated and passionate leader with experience owning and running a piece of business
    • Can lead omni-channel planning and workstreams including: earned media, influencer, social media, creative, experiential, research and paid, with knowledge of trade, on and off premise marketing. 
  • A client whisperer who doesn’t just do what’s asked by your clients but is a true partner, guiding them by identifying and developing programs around their biz needs while establishing trust and collaboration between our team and theirs 
  • A strong brand strategist, who can delve into the client’s business and target consumers to unearth insights that guide strategic recommendations
  • An energetic and dynamic culture vulture 
  • An excellent deck builder and storyteller, who knows how to communicate what client’s care about and what they need to reach their objectives.
  • A relationship builder with proven track record of strong client and IAT management 
  • An excellent communicator and presenter to clients, internal stakeholders, and new business prospects 
  • An experienced new biz builder including incremental growth + new business 
  • A critical thinker who goes beyond the surface level, and has exceptional problem-resolution skills, including the ability to think creatively and outside the box

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead top beverage and family brands that activate in culture to brand owned moments  
  • Be client relationship lead, and serve as a trusted voice and advisor
  • Dissect client business objectives/goals and craft strategies that achieve those goals in a disruptive fashion
  • See the future - ID the trends, people, brands that are relevant and complement the clients and work we do  
  • Develop strategic recommendations and sell-in programming  
  • Manage a team and all workflow across the full account, including overseeing all programs and managing the budgeting and staffing of the business 
  • Manage integrated marketing strategy including both internal stakeholders, client stakeholders and integrated agency teams
  • Strengthen relations with and bring relevant tastemakers, brand partners and influencers in to the fold of brands on an programmatic and ad hoc basis
  • Report on competitive brand and lifestyle trends to clients; demonstrate ability to be nimble and develop one-of-a-kind “ways in” for brands harnessing these trends 

What You’ll Bring

  • 9+ years of marketing experience; experience with alcohol and CPG brands preferred
  • Solid foundation in both public relations (inclusive of traditional media and digital) and general brand strategy 
  • Experience working within an IAT; ideal candidate would have led/driven a full IAT 
  • Proven ability to lead projects, communicate effectively, think strategically and build of-the-moment and future-forward collaborations that transcend culture 
  • Ability to “roll with it” and be nimble when there are changes to pathways and needs to counsel on pivots 
  • Ability to counsel and provide ongoing strategic POVs 
  • The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in consumer marketing specifically:  public relations, large integrated programming, social strategy, and influencer marketing (paid and organic)
  • Ability to command a room and get stakeholder buy-in from multiple channels 
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to travel and be in person with clients in their office, at events, and activations (this is required)

Our Flexible Work Policy: 

We believe that our best work happens in a hybrid working environment. If you are in the NYC (or commutable surrounding distance) hub we want to see you in person 2 days a week. That could mean in our office, in our client's office, on the road with them or attending an industry event.
