In this role, you will be helping to improve performance and stability across our trading platforms at Maven, a critical role to ensure our day-to-day trading activities are optimised and uninterrupted. Your quest as guardian of the trading systems will involve monitoring, tweaking and preventing incidents from happening and, if unsuccessful, resolve them. You’ll also be the custodian of future releases, ensuring day-to-day releases have a positive impact on trading by implementing tools to further automate our processes.

A Trading Systems Engineer is responsible to warrant the performance and availability of our Trading systems.

WHAT YOU ARE

  • Pragmatic with a drive for quality
  • Interest in performance tuning and optimisation
  • Good with Python
  • Previous experience in a CI/CD environment and understand how to get the best out of 3rd party tools such as Ansible, Octopus, TeamCity, Volt, Jira
  • Linux system admin
