Here at Mavenoid, we're building an AI-powered platform for troubleshooting just about anything: consumer electronics, industrial equipment; you name it, we help fix it. We do this by automating tedious technical support through an intelligent virtual agent, freeing up precious time while improving the customer experience. Born out of the pressure of diagnosing tanks for the Swedish Armed Forces, today our troubleshooting platform is used by global companies to empower their customers to repair more and replace less. Our company was founded by Google and Palantir alumni, and we’re backed by Point Nine Capital and Creandum.

Mavenoid helps people troubleshoot smarter. We can do many different things but can only win with the right new partnerships and relationships. We’re looking for a creative business developer who want to quickly grow into a future leader in the organization. The role requires wrestling with abstract technical concepts and thriving in an engineering culture.

Your core responsibilities:

  1. Identify and reach out to potential customers
  2. Understand their challenges and opportunities deeply
  3. Sign our next customers, but only if there is a great match
  4. Cultivate authentic relationships (no “networking” please)
  5. Make sure our product development team are in sync with our customers’ needs

You get important things done. You have a track record of running complex projects and closing deals.

You have lots of raw horsepower. You are smart, creative and think well on your feet.

You have grit. Sometimes you need to keep knocking at a door over and over until someone finally answers. Deals can take a long time and a lot of back and forth. You don’t give up towards the very end to “just close the deal” and leak value.

You sweat the small stuff. You read every word of every contract, including all the legal language, so that you can catch gotchas and think through the implications of what the contract says.

You are a strong writer, and easy to talk to. You think clearly and therefore write clearly. You create compelling stories. You are articulate and can communicate well with both the internal dev team as well as with the customer.

Bonus: You have studied science/engineering or have a "technical background".

The upsides of joining a small company early: outsized impact, real ownership and accountability, hard problems, faster learning, quicker decisions, less bureaucracy, and real equity.

  • Spikiness – You have at least one superpower, and multiple weaknesses are not just ok but expected
  • Selective Intensity – You are an 80/20 person who get the right things done
  • Intellectual Honesty – You are radical about truth and are candid to a fault
  • Self-guidance – You don’t wait to be told what to do, ever

The first step of the recruitment process is a 20 minute logic test. Once you have applied you will receive an email with further instructions from our supplier Alva Labs, allow a day or two for it to arrive and keep a lookout in your spam folder just in case. When your test results are in we will assess your application together with the test result. We will request that you repeat the logic test on site further on in the process.
