Job Description:

Maven is looking for an experienced brand copywriter to join our growing creative team. This role will be primarily focused on our Marketing initiatives. As a brand copywriter, you will be embedded in our brand design team and work closely with all of our Marketing functions (Client Marketing, Growth Marketing, Content Marketing, Events, Partnerships & Experiential and Communication) to ensure messaging is on-brand and impactful for each our audiences (healthcare professionals, enterprise clients, and Maven members) and to evolve copy as the brand grows.

As a Brand Copywriter at Maven, you will: 

  • Create, write, and edit engaging copy in the Maven brand voice and tone
  • Conceptualize and develop copy across integrated digital campaigns, our website, emails, paid ads etc.
  • Work directly with cross-functional partners and internal leaders to understand their messaging needs and easily incorporate those needs into projects
  • Collaborate closely with brand design to create and refine ideas in an iterative and flexible process
  • Work with the Product Content team to unify brand voice across all platforms
  • Present creative to teams in a clear and compelling manner
  • Clarify complex topics into easy-to-understand copy for internal and external audiences
  • Bring complex product and member stories to life in innovative ways
  • Proof final deliverables and ensure final content appears as intended
  • Lead in the growth and evolution of the brand voice
  • Support in strategizing new opportunities and improvements for our messaging
  • Support in defining processes to deliver high-quality creative
  • Support in assessing and scoping future potential projects

We’re looking for you to bring:  

  • 4-6 years of experience in copywriting and creative strategy
  • Examples of complex digital campaign work from small projects to large complex campaigns
  • Understands how to optimize copy for different contexts and media channels including print, web, social and emails
  • Ability to write articulate, creative, and grammatically correct copy
  • Ability to work within an existing brand voice and adapt it for the medium and goals of a project
  • A repeatable process for collaborating with cross-functional partners
  • Ability to manage competing opinions and deliver quality on-brand copy within a variety of contexts  
  • Nice to have: experience in healthcare and/or in B2B copywriting
  • Passionate, detail oriented, and focused on creating best-in-class experiences
  • Innovative thinker and problem solver that is comfortable working within a fast-paced startup environment
