This an experienced team that is firing on all cylinders. Your job is to help expand it by finding more talented members to join. Personally, we think this is going to be one of the most fun recruiting jobs out there. Our CEO Gagan has already worked with some of the best recruiters in the business, so he is knowledgeable and leans in. Both Wes and Shreyans have extraordinary backgrounds and so far 11 out of the 12 offers we’ve made have been accepted. Your job is to come in and help us with full lifecycle recruiting:
- Work with hiring managers to scope roles, determine good profiles and calibrate
- Source candidates directly while also working with external recruiters when necessary
- Manage pipeline, including initial phone screen if appropriate. In other situations, you may directly email from a hiring manager’s alias and then pass them to an initial screen with them.
- Help learn about candidates and coach hiring managers on how to close them
- Schedule candidate interviews and pre-brief / debrief calls
- Create a “virtual onsite” system so candidates can feel the experience of working with Maven
- The ideal recruiter is also somewhat familiar with interviewing techniques and can weigh in on candidates’ culture and capability fit
You should love finding great people and fitting them into a wider team. You like to own things and run them yourself, but you also want to join a company where you may eventually hire a team.
This role will report directly to Gagan Biyani, CEO of Maven. There will be some point in the future where that may change as the company grows - if so it’ll be a good thing because your role will only grow from there :)
Who's a Good Fit
Ideally you are excellent at full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, managing a pipeline and closing candidates. You’ve done it before multiple times but love the early stage so you’re looking to join a fast-growing company with a strong mission.
We will also meet with up-and-coming candidates who are looking for an opportunity to step up and take on a more senior role.

The role above will start as individual contributors. Based on your performance, you might build a team of direct reports.
