Purpose of the role:

  • To be part of the global MATRIXX Product Management organization and interface with other teams such as sales, pre-sales, services and engineering for product roadmap development.
  • To work with MATRIXX's customers/partners and understand the business use-cases, gather functional & technical requirements and identify potential product gaps.
  • Participate in bid responses and solution proposals and align responses with product roadmap.
  • Engage with customers and prospects on product feature and roadmap discussions.



Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary focal point for the customers for any product roadmap or strategic initiative discussions.
  • Liaison with the field teams, partners, and customers to define long term strategic product roadmap.
  • Able to present product roadmap vision to stakeholders; defending and adapting as necessary based on feedback. 
  • Able to communicate the vision of major new features effectively. Create extensive high-quality supporting collateral and deliver the key message with strong presentation skills in front of both internal and external audiences.
  • Own management of various domain areas with in MATRIXX CCS (Converged Charging solution) suite of applications.
  • Familiar with MATRIXX product capabilities, to map with the higher-level business requirements from customers and effectively engage in low level technical requirement tickets progress with the development team.
  • Document business requirements with clarity. Capture use-cases, functional & non-functional requirements, assumptions, and context diagrams.
  • Act as interface between the MATRIXX engineering and MATRIXX’s partners and be responsible for the solution specification and acceptance of work.
  • Review high-level and detailed design specifications and check for adherence and coverage of business requirements.
  • Ensure the right blend of trade-offs to maximize the product impact in the marketplace.
  • Work with product marketing and sales to create product positioning, content, collateral, and tools.

Required skills and experience:

  • Proven experience with hands-on product management or technical pre-sales in the telco BSS areas.
  • Previous experience defining integration requirements and interface specifications between Network, OCS/CCS, Billing, CRM, Catalog and Order management and other northbound & southbound applications.
  • Strong expertise with Cloud Native concepts, cloud services and public & private cloud deployments.
  • Experience with API technologies, application integration and communication (Asynchronous/Synchronous) including security and data transformation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
  • Experience working with remote and highly distributed teams with little supervision.
  • A strong background in a customer-facing technical role (including responding to RFPs and building technical proposals).
  • The ability to travel (approx. 30%), both domestically and internationally
  • Hands on approach to understanding, configuring, and testing software.
  • Able to respond quickly to changing business needs, priorities, and timelines. 
  • Experienced in a Telco BSS and/or OSS applications.
  • Ideally qualified with BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of TMForum industry standards, Converged Billing (processes, functionality and integrations).
