We are seeking a Building Services Technician to provide skilled and preventative maintenance for the community buildings, operating systems machinery; ensure grounds are maintained in good condition and safe working order through preventative maintenance and timely follow-up.
We have a full-time, 3:00pm-11:00pm opportunity available. Weekends and holiday availability required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Timely completion of routine repairs, maintenance requests, and work orders throughout the community.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Maintain the overall appearance of the property by painting common areas and apartments at turnover and as needed.
- Assist with maintenance of fire, life safety systems and equipment; respond to emergencies according to Mather policies and procedures.
- Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including grounds clean-up, snow removal and salting, maintain light fixtures.
- Perform/Assist in unlocks, room set-ups/tear downs, receiving/delivery of packages.
- Monitor the community through regular tours to ensure safety and security of residents, guests, and staff.
- Responds to emergency situations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required:
- 5+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in Senior Living
- Working knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration, and electrical systems; knowledge of HVAC systems a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Internet, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn work order system
