POSITION SUMMARY
Creates a positive first impression of the community with regular maintenance of the grounds, paths, walkways, lighting and parking lots. Keep the community clean, beautiful, and free from safety hazards and diseases for the residents, staff, and visitors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Waters and maintains greens, and
- Clears debris, removes trash and maintains drives parking areas and walkways in safe
- Leaf blowing and
- Emptying the trash cans and recycling pickup, and helping to clear and maintain the trash
- Arrange, clean and maintain the condition of the outdoor
- Pressure wash areas on a regularly scheduled
- Clean and maintain the condition of entry ways, patio areas, outdoor lighting and other areas as
- Remove snow and ice as required during inclement weather
- Performs a variety of tasks which provide and maintain the cleanliness and safety of resident rooms and common areas.
- Competently operates various types of cleaning equipment, both mechanical and
- Advises supervisor of situation requiring follow up
- Recognizes unsafe acts or conditions and takes action
- Notifies supervisor when supplies are low and demonstrates responsibility for the conservation of supplies, chemicals, equipment, and utilities.
- Assists Maintenance Technicians as needed.
- Identifies areas for improvement, proposes possible solutions, and participates in data collection and process changes as part of the Quality Assurance Process Improvement process.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required:
- High school degree or
- Familiar with the operations and maintenance of basic tools and groundskeeping and housekeeping
- Knowledge of horticulture, pest control, and weed
- Good verbal communication
