We’re seeking a Creative Arts Facilitator (in-person programs) to lead creative arts programs designed to support connection and engagement among older adults. The Facilitator will lead existing programs as well as develop stimulating and innovative programs with a primary focus on creative arts. This may include programs such as art journaling, creative mindfulness, drawing, visual art making, discussion, and more. This position is part-time to teach in-person programs, and participate in larger team meetings at our headquarters office located in Evanston.
Essential Functions
- Conducts approximately 8 hour/week creative arts programming for older adults in person at locations in Chicago, predominantly on the South or West side of Chicagoland. Programs may include small and large groups of participants. This includes existing Mather programs and programs to be developed.
- Develops innovative creative arts programs for older adults.
- Acts in a support role for programs, helping to assemble supplies for programs, assisting with registration, tracking attendance, and room set up.
Required:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years work experience related to presentation/facilitation of creative arts programs
- 3+ years work experience related to program/content development
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
